This series is partially based from a 5th century mosaic unearthed 30 years ago. Speculation is that this mosaic is a map of the harbor at Kelenderis (Turkey) for the newly arrived.

It also reflects my quest for common ground. Social media and AI amplify our biases, complicating this search. Funnels symbolize the amplification of these messages and thoughts, which emerge from the wide end as chaotic, unformed ideas. Red lines of are incorporated, symbolizing boundaries, are crossed, signifying our collective effort to try to respect and to forge human connections.
